Reading West

Can't be bothered with the rest of Reading West, as it is a constituency in which I have little interest, just thought I would point out that she lives in Reading East. A fact.

That's all very well if you want to be picky - But the rest of us who were born in the Oxford Road and have lived in the Town for over 50 years know that the Jolly Brewers is in West Reading in all but name. Sorry, of course it's now called the Westside before you jump on me for that as well.

Daisy Benson's "situation" is surprisingly akin to that of Mr Page at the last election: both are/were literally "over the road" from the constituencies they wish/ed to represent.

Where's Belmont Road? Does Dr Dodds live in Reading West, or is it in the Wokingham part of the constituency?

Also interesting that Annelise has given up using accommodation addresses in Reading East and now has put the home in Reading West, I believe of Salter employee henchperson and former councillor, Viki Lloyd, as her address. (And,, co-incidentally just across the road from the former Mayor and would be independent until Salter bullied him into staying in the Labour Party, councillor Peak-Freans, sorry Maskell) Not even trying to pretend she lives in the constituency or get an address there. She's given up.

Interesting that the Readings don't have a BNP candidate between them - esp after the former Labour Member for Reading West boasted so much about being regarded as Public Enemy Number One by this shower.

Obviously, like much else , this claim of his needs to be taken with a peck of salt.

Basher is standing in Henley. Surely a waste of £500?

There have been many cases over the years where married couples have been MPs, so they cannot both have their principal homes in their constituencies (except some of the recent frauds have concerned such married couples flipping their homes).
In the Reading case I believe the 2 LDs were boy- and girl-friends until recently.

Dr Dodds has a bf in Bristol and works in London... but its ok, she can get out of for a few hours in Reading before she's off again.

So many anonymous comments!

Really, who cares? I checked the address of Ms Benson and if that address isn't in Reading West it should be. It's not that far from Reading West railway station for goodness' sake.

I have no political axe to grind, it just seems a bit unimportant.

On the subject of territorial boundaries, the very sparse website for the Reading West UKIP candidate http://www.ukipberkshire.co.uk/spip.php?article57 shows a photo of him in Reading East, and not much else.
