he's not from Borneo

but someone who was at university with him says his nickname there (Warwick I think it was) was "Wild Man".  This is the man who is in charge of the elections in Reading.  Don't forget to vote.  I won't.  If my ballot paper gets here in time for it to be sent back in time.

No, the lovely John Painter was at Canterbury!

PS /No-one/ reads an election result just like John :)

Abbey Nationalist: don't hold your breath...anyway, if not received you can go on the day at the polling station. They should have you on the registry(?). Here you are! Sorted. Stations, I understand, open at 7 am and close at 10pm. Hope your choice is the right one...

I have now received mine and have voted. Woosh - that's that for another four years.

Unfortunately, no Nationalists are standing in Abbey this time, but one day we will rise upm and throw off the yoke of Katesgrove hegemony and Battle irridentism!

Matey Painter reckons there will around 2000 postal votes which will go awol in the process ( see local rag). Plus the ones not received on time.. then people can't be bothered, working late, on hols. Where does it leave it in terms of accurate results. Am truly puzzled! Abbey Nationalist, what will happen to your postal vote if you have no time to go to polling station?. Postal Vote system not very safe methinks...

As I do not trust the Royal Mail with anything remotely important, and as I live in Abbey, I will deliver it by hand to the Civic Centre. Is that more risky than using the post? Hmmmm....close call, that.
