a new era dawns

for Reading Borough that is, according to Cllr Willis, who becomes the new lead councillor for strategic planning and transport.  The cabinet is interesting, though one or two of the better talents have not been given the positions they probably deserve.  We'll see.  How I wish I had been there to see the faces of the Labour Group, who were apparently glum and silent.  Congrats Zim One Lovelock, taking the group to oblivion after 27 years.  What a waste.

As the shredders fall silent a new dawn breaks.  In the early quiet a lone blackbird sings.

It was a sight not to be missed! Even Dave "the moronic public" Sutton turned up for this...Sour faces and red roses on the lapels. What are they going to live on now their allowances gone? Dear me, they will have to join the rest of us and think twice before buying very expensive looking roses. Might have to go for poppies next time!

Interestingly, Rob White voted with Labour every time... Hope this isn't going to be a trend!

No doubt Dave wanted to be there to see the conclusion of his handiwork and the loss of control of Reading Borough council by the Labour Party. Well done Dave. Hope you're happy with your Tory MP and your Con/Dem council. Hahahaha....

To: Rob White. What did they promise you for Park? Or you just want to oppose for the sake of it! Green? More like trotskyst to me...

It amazes me that people are surprised to see the Green sitting (and voting) with Labour. The Green Party is more left wing than Labour and will be naturally inclined to vote with them on most issues.

Yes we couldn't believe how successful Sutton, Singleton-White and Howarth have been in gifting us so many council seats. I doubt they could have done better it they had been working openly for us. Now to the West.

Until he realises that the people in Park did not vote for him on the Greens national manifesto! He is just a good bloke who lives locally and does a lot of voluntary work and has plenty of time on his hands, fits the job description. Rob, you need to realise you must not bite the hand which will feed your ambition for Park...

So voting Green in Park was a bit of a pointless act, as he'll join the pool of rubbish Labour cllrs :(

That's upsetting

Rob White abstained more times than he voted with Labour.
