leads Mr Salter to post an item on his Telegraph blog which is identical in every way to his Westminster Diary. So £150 for something you had already written anyway is good going. The former however invites comments, two of which are as follows:
Martin – it seems that the constituents in your neighbouring constituency didn’t like the homosexual candidate standing in Reading East at the last General Election (incidentally his name is Tony Page and he had 2 convictions for indecency), he lost the seat for Labour which Jane Griffiths had won in 1997 and 2001.

assegai, the reading east people didn’t like how Jane was deselected. They also didn’t really warn to Cllr Page, but lots of Lab supporters didn’t vote out of sympathy for Jane. She still blogs about this and other subjects at http://jane-griffiths-my-book.blogspot.com/
Tonys sexuality, ot indeed his criminal record, were not hard to find out about, but it wasn’t an election issues in 2005. One of his leaflets incidentally had him holding a baby standing next to a woman, so most would have thought that was his family. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Page
Nice work Martin, just in case anyone had forgotten. Now remind us just why you are writing this blog again?

Other comments on the article refer to "Zanu" Labour (childish and way off kilter) and hanging Salter with piano wire or some such vitriol. One poster also points us to a youtube link of a Spike Milligan sketch, Pakistani Daleks, saying that these are typical of Zanu (oh, how funny!) Labour voters in Reading West. Now I'm not a fan of Mr Salter but I'm even less of a fan of the homophobic, racist ranters who are pulling him to pieces over at the Torygraph. The Cons are on their way back. Be afraid. Very.
The baby?Didn,t he borrow it from Malcolm Powers?I seem to remember reading this on yr blog once?[tho I may well be mistaken.]
he did borrow the baby from Malcolm Powers and the woman in the picture is Powers' odious fraud of a wife, former police officer Kathryn Peak
What a bizarre bunch Reading Labour Party seem to be.You have Malcolm Powers,a man who delights,so we are told,in flashing his three nipples, lending his child to a convicted sex offender for the purposes of enhancing thelatters electoral chances.Doesn't anyone care anymore that such creatures have found their way into the Labour Party.Or has British politics become so bebased,so shameless, that nobody thinks it matters any more?
I don't know who they are:but Powers and Page seem a rather sad pair.
