they've excelled themselves

His Master's Voice that is. they have said that there is a "groundswell of public opinion" calling for Mr Salter to stay on and not stand down - not that Mr Salter told them to say that, oh no. And not that he was influenced by the "story" in the Filth yesterday, highlighted by me on this blog, oh no. Notice though that the HMV story was careful to say only that he has not claimed allowances for a second home in London since 2001. Because of course before that he did. Which is fraudulent.
