those code words

the Silly Boys have posted about their Annual Meeting, at which there is sometimes a show trial, and always a stitch-up.  The officers of Reading Labour Party were elected unanimously (not just unopposed), and the meeting was described by the Boys as "busy and lively".  "Busy" is code for "packed" (in the technical sense, people were brought along to ensure sufficient numbers in case of a contested vote), and "lively" is code for - well, it should be obvious, for a blazing row and/or someone being physically ejected and/or physically attacked, all of which I have witnessed at previous such meetings.  What fun they do have.  Pity it is all pointless and meaningless, and has been since Labour lost control of the council in 2008.  Bye bye.

Has been since they de-selected their MP for Reading East, prior to the 2005 General Election - oh and has been since they failed to de-select their MP for Reading East prior to 2001 and got cross and wasted the next four years trying again - instead of supporting the MP in promoting the policies of the Labour Government.

Leaving the silly boys behind for (ever???) a moment.

I was studying my world cup wallchart and working out which countries I had been to.

As you are a well travelled individual it struck me that you might have covered all 32. If this is not the case, then apologies.

So we could break into matches. Some fixtures are too easy such as Eng vs Germ or Spain vs Portugal (zzzz). But what about Paraguay vs Japan, has anyone been to both.

Please advise.

not me - I have never been to south America, never further south than Mexico. But I have been to both Ghana and Japan, also South Korea

You are far too humble to blow your own trumpet. But this is sensational. With the three countries you roll of so glibly we have real potential.

It could be that you have covered all of Group D and E.

Group D

Germany ( a cert)
Ghana (in the bag)
Australia (v.likely)
Serbia (come on everyone loves a Serb)

Group E

Holland (a cert)
Japan (in the bag)
Denmark (likely)
Cameroon (mmm not sure)

Even so if you have a whole group then well played.

There must people out there that can cover other groups.

Groupd D certainly, and I do love Serbia, but never been to Cameroon sadly
