All of the 11 schools that make up the Whitley Excellence Cluster have been invited to nominate one of their school governors to become a Trustee of the Apire2 Charity, we now also have Trustees from the local community and local service providers.

If you have any queries regarding becoming a Trustee, please contact Sheila Tibbenham, WEC Project Manager: sheila.tibbenham@reading.gov.uk

Maria Soulsby ... I expect that's Maria Soulsby-Smith, recently stepped down as Head of New Christ Church Primary School. She's now setting up a new school in Wokingham, I believe.

Incidentally, are local authority funded schools allowed to donate significant sums of public money to charities? Or are they just buying services in this case? If so, it looks like it should be a not-for-profit company, not a charity.

what's independent about a Labour councillor signing off the accounts of a body that moves money between the Labour council of which she is a member and other bodies? #thingsthatmakeyougohmmm
