it feels good
I have finished my novel. Took about 18 months to write, what with having a full-time job and all. It's not the first book I've written, but it is the first novel. It is called Priors Gardens. That's it for now.
Yes but is it a thriller,a political thriller,a finely wrought contribution to the literary canon or,perhaps a racy piece of political chic-lit..whats the hell is it about..[and don't say about 19/99rrp.]
it's a story, that's all, and while some characters have emerged from aspects of my observation of people I have known, to anyone who thinks they recognise themself or someone else in it I would say, almost in the words of Carly Simon, "You're so vain, you probably think this book is about you".
it is not about politics it is about the lives of three women. I probably thought I was writing the Great British Novel but what I have in fact written is rather sophisticated chick lit - you can all be the judges of that later

Can't you tell us a little more than that Jane?
I expect it will be very good. You've had a lot of experience writing fiction on this blog.
oooh get you anon 1058, care to be more specific?
Mr Street I can tell you that Priors Gardens is a real street, and that it is in South Ruislip in the London borough of Hillingdon.
Who is publishing it and when?

Does it feature any tattooed piscatorial politicos with strange accents who once worked at Heathrow?

I for one hope it's nothing to do with politics. I know people come to this blog for all that but I think you have a more interesting book in you.
