Jim Hanley - a good guy
I can only thank Tony Jones from whom I found this out. I am so very sorry. I knew Jim Hanley quite well at one time. I hope those who should remember him post their tributes in the appropriate places. Jim was one of the very good people.
He was well-liked in Whitley ward. He helped me several times.
I hope that those Tory and LibDem bloggers who abused Jim and his fellow Whitley councillors for changing their minds over Shinfield Road apologise for that abuse, especially as they were quick off the mark to praise Jim in GetReading.

Shocked to hear this. I met Jim a few times and he was a smashing bloke.
